Fair Campus Credit Cards
The USPIRG Education Fund released a white paper report, Characteristics of a Fair Campus Credit Card, on April 23, 2008. The paper is a companion piece to the March 27 release of Campus Credit Card Trap, a survey of over 1,500 college students in 14 states to determine credit card practices and attitudes toward aggressive marketing on campus. Young people are different from other adult targets of the credit card industry. The paper outlines the terms and conditions that credit cards marketed to college students should have to be considered.
